If you’re not a fan of crowds, and they’ll be here quick enough, now’s a great time for this hike.

About 8 vehicles in the lot when we arrived. As expected for an early season hike in the Superstition’s following a decent monsoon season, the trails were a little overgrown but not to bad, the worse was from the summit to the Bluff Spring junction where high grass and catclaw slows travel. Temps were perfect the entire hike. Some standing and running water from Thursday’s rain. Saw one deer as it scampered off very quickly. Only saw two other hikers, one at the Terrapin junction and one close to the TH on the return.
