Ginny and I wanted to break the 100 miles for October so we headed to Tucson Mountain Park near Gates Pass. We hiked the Yetman Trail to the Little Cat Trail then up The Krein Ridge Trail and back to where we started. Fairly easy walking along all the trails except the one up Krein Ridge (Bobcat Ridge), It was steep and rocky. Great views from along this ridge but since the wind was blowing the atmosphere was dusty and the views in the distance we not good. Great views of nearby hills. About a dozen large saguaros were Feld by what was probably a micro burst, All in a short vicinity along the Yetman Trail. The trails were fairly empty only a couple mountain bikers.
