With central AZ temps rebounding to seasonal levels I wanted to get out for a desert walk. I thought if I went out to a big wash in the Sonora Desert National Monument (known to be popular with native people of the past) I might even find some interesting things.

I secretly hoped to find some painted Hohokam pottery, but it was not to be. I did find a lot of plain pottery though and even some unexpected petroglyphs (no rocks expected!), though they were pretty forgettable. Still it was a nice desert walk.
