I went to this place I had fond memories of. Five years ago I followed Petrophile's Jeep (with difficulty in my Subaru) into this range and we walked around and found some pretty nice petroglyphs.

My plan was to return, walk a little further, and just enjoy the "ambience" in this pretty and uncrowded range.

I skipped 90% of the petroglyphs we found first trip in favor of walking up the hill to new ground - and there were a few new things to see.

Except for driving the Phoenix freeways at rush hour (both ways

), it was a fun day.
