Planned on doing a loop involving the Toothacher. Nice beginning. Always enjoy catching those geothermal winds. Wished they would last later into the morning. Another angry sunrise. Spectacular in its own way. Smooth sailing out to Gadsden, then I met a coiled road block on the wash just prior to the Coldwater Trail. If I hadn’t seen it, I probably would have run right past it without it reacting. However, running by it, knowing it was there, was a different story. I decided that seeing the Toothacher in reverse might be kind of cool. In addition to the rattler, saw a rabbit and 8 chipmunks. Also, encountered 2 bikers heading up the wash as I was heading back. Warned them about the snake. Felt bad for the snake having its resting spot disturbed. |
