I woke up later than I planned so I ended up settling for a hike a SoMo, doing my go to trail, Hau’Pal. Got to the TH a little after 5am. It’s always a “huff” going to the top. Today, made it to Star Peak in 31 minutes. The winds, one of the factors that got me out of the house, didn’t touch me until I hit the ridgeline. However, once I was on the ridgeline, they were with me for the rest of the hike. Very different from yesterday. Took the ridgeline down and then took the Crosscut over to the old T-Bone Trail (now the Ma Ha Tuak Perimeter Trail). Jogged the TBone back to the TH. One of my devices popped out of my pocket as I was rock climbing along the ridgeline. Luckily it is made of sturdy plastic and didn’t go too far down the slope. Encountered 4 hikers and 1 trail runner. Also, 1 lone coyote, who I shared the trail with as we climbed Hau’Pal.
