| no partners | | Made a loop from the Flag airport using FR700, FR240, Mormon lake road, and LMR. Smoke in the air near Tuthill, and jacket weather to start, both changed after crossing under 17 on Old Munds hwy.
FR700 is a great road for biking on weekday mornings, maybe only then. The amounts of trash next to the no dumping signs is disgusting. Every potential campsite was littered. Left turn up FR240 turns into a good climb right away. Once at the top, the trashy campsites return. Worse, someone lost their camper.
Water and snacks at an completely empty Double Springs campground, except for the absent host. Quick loop around the not-lake, then breezing back into Flag on LMR. Passed two stinky dead elk on the right side of the road, one skinned, the other about to explode. Upper and the barely lower were both muddy lakes.
No fire near Tuthill or smoke in the air on Saturday, just hot. |
