Early morning hike at SoMo. Needed to be home for most of the day so I needed a quick, early hike. Opted for Hau’Pal. Gates were still locked so I had to park in the street. Went to the top, hit Starr Peak and turned around. Very windy at the top. Felt great! There was a Phoenix Parks and Recreation flag at the top. Kind of odd, but it looked “official.” Tried to get some pictures but was hampered by the dark. Hiked in the dark. I was blinded by a few headlamps as I was heading down. Wildlife minimal, though I did see an enjoying the early morning.
