| no partners | | I invited son #2 and son #3 to come along on this sunset hike. Remarkedly, they agreed! This hike is always hike for sunset because of the great views to the west.
We opted for the direct route straight up the wash to Alp d'Huez Trail. With a slight turn on High Ridge Trail, we picked up the sketchy path up to the peak. I like hiking on these wide and smooth mountain bike trails.
The sunset was nothing special, but it's always nice to spend time with my adult sons. After the sunset show, we headed down and opted to stay out of the wash and took the Alp trail back to the trailhead/road.
We came across a couple of bikers on the way up, but had the trails to ourselves the entire time otherwise.
This hike is short with a little elevation and amazing views up top. |
