The Église de la Sainte-Trinité is a Roman Catholic church located on the place d'Estienne d'Orves, in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. It was built between 1861 and 1867 during the reign of Emperor Napoleon III, in the residential neighborhood of the Chaussée d'Antin.
The NAVE seen from the choir (the choir is the altar area behind me).
The gallery organ is originally a work of Cavaillé-Coll.
It is decorated above with a scene from the Apocalypse of John: "Christ and the Paschal Lamb" by Jobbé-Duval.
The monumental painting on the arch above the choir is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. It is by the artist Barrias.
Specialists describe it as "audacious" because the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are holding hands. It remains in line with the religious practices of the time: proclamation of the dogmas of the Church, apparitions of the Virgin. The aim being for the Church to strengthen itself in the face of multiple oppositions.
