The main courtyard of the Louvre with 3 different Pavillions. We really enjoyed walking around here and fortunately, had good weather. To join us, see my video [ youtube video ] There are a few more Pavillions.

Upper photo: the Pavillon Richelieu from the Cour Napoleon of The Louvre Museum, and this is the central pavilion wing facing south into the courtyard, with the additional embellishments having been put in place during the restoration of the palace, between the years 1852 and 1857. The facade of the Richelieu Wing is an example from the classicism period (1630-1800).

LL South facade of Pavillon Colbert at Musee du Louvre. On the top plinth you will see there is a statue located on either side, and these were produced by Louis Elias Robert in 1857, with the one on the left being called La Science, whereas the one on the right is called L'Industrie, plus many of the other sculptural decorations on this pavilion facade were also produced in the 1850s when The Louvre was being renovated.

LR The pediment on the Pavillon Daru called La Sculpture et la Peinture which can be seen from the Cour Napoleon courtyard.
