| no partners | | JJ and I had arranged for me to pick him up at the Barnhardt TH late this afternoon. I had planned on going up early and either getting in a big Hike or a couple of little ones, but with the Hike I did yesterday, a big Hike was out of the question today. By the time I left the house, JJ had texted and stated that he was going to be running late, and I realized that I only had time to do one little Hike before dark.
I have never Hiked in this area, so I decided that I would just go up Barnhardt a little ways and start getting myself acquainted with the area. I really liked this Trail and the further in I went, the more I wanted to go further and see more. Finally, the waning Light, the Chill in the Air, and subtle protest from both Knees convinced me to turn around. I managed to make it back to the TH before it got completely dark, although the Moon had risen and was beginning to cast some nice Light on the area. JJ showed up a little while later and I drove him over to pick up his Jeep.
Nice Trail, Nice Hike, and I shall return.... |
