I was in Phoenix visiting my GF, so I decided to get up early and hike Camelback. Erin came with. We hit the trail head around 7:30 and it was already in the high 80s. Because its saturday the trail was super packed with the whole spectrum of hikers. Military guys charging up the hill to small children with worried moms. I'm used to the lonely treks through the Catalinas, and not navigating crowded trails. We made decent time and reached the summit in about 45minutes. It was probably in the mid 90s by the time we hit the top. We took some pictures and headed back down.

Tons of Chuckwallas were out. I also saw a chipmunk and some kind of snake...most likely a gopher.

Overall it was a good climb to the summit, but too crowded.
