What a Great way to spend Thanksgiving day with friends Bruno and Rachel, he suggested Flatiron, ( one of the most difficult hikes in the area, 2700 foot elevation gain in 2.5 miles ) I thought he was kidding, Wrong, so ok, he hasn't hiked for a couple of years and last time he went to Flatiron was 6 years ago, and several health issues later,( I had just done Reavis Falls which was a butt kicker last Sunday ) I thought maybe halfway ( wishful thinking on my part ), but he kept trudging upward and we kept following, at the halfway saddle, where most turn back, he says what the hey, and keeps on going, what was I supposed to do quit !!!! duh !! I don't think so, proud of Bruno and Rachel for making this Thanksgiving Week something to remember.. :y:
