1st trip
Chumley invited me on a hike and so I gathered up a few others and we set off. The wet and cold chased Mark with his cold and Carole off and soon it was just three of us. It was quite nice to enjoy this hike without the typical crowds of Resolutionaries. The high water had sent most of them to the Esperero trail!

I have to admit I whined a lot during the water crossings. My feet had gone numb. In trying to make sure I didn't fall over, I sometime choose spots that were nearly lady bits deep. In all, it wasn't as bad as I had imagined the night before when I saw the Rilitto running. I did keep in mind that if it warmed up significantly and the water levels rose we may have to figure out a creative way out since there was no way I'd be calling SARA!

7 Falls was amazing. I'm not sure I've ever visited it with as much water as was there on Saturday.

We decided to bag the Thimble even though Mike and I had already been there a few weeks ago. The Yhinble is a scramble you can do a few times and not get bored! The views from the top were great especially with the snow.

From the Thinble it was all downhill back to the visitor center - just kidding! There seemed to be plenty of uphill to match the 4000ft of AEG. Although I never. Once felt the hike was hard , it's just long.

At the end, Mike and I choose to leave Chumley so he could poop in peace. Really, Chumley just wanted to take his time taking pictures of Sabino Creek without us being impatient. We did the Phoneline trail which adds a mile to the loop. The best part of the Phoneline is that there was only one more creek crossing!

Towards the end of the hike we were visited by a female Cardinal. That was definitely a highlight for me!

Thanks, Chumley for the invite! Great hike, high in the adventure side :)
