Denny had time for a short hike so we took a chance on the weather and hit the trail. The clouds made the morning seem darker and we started with headlamps for the first 30 minutes. While hiking up La Barge creek we heard a noise. I thought it was a frog but Denny notice a big horn ewe in the cliffs above. We decided to check out and alcove in that direction and kept watching the ewe as we climbed up. The alcove was a dud (no surprise) so we decided to hike back down. Just then Denny asked where Aylors house was and while we where debating the location we looked back and the ewe was above watching us. On the hike down we saw a small arrowhead and stopped by the Aylor ruin. We were able to hike out before any rain so the risk paid off.
