| no partners | | Well, this was a way to cheat going into Bryce Canyon -- let the horses do the work, and then we don't have to try to get kids back out of the canyon on a warm day. (Not sure about the mileage; didn't pay much attention since I didn't have to!) Bryce was pretty as always, but unusual today because of the smoke plume from the Brian Head Fire over near Cedar Breaks. There were flakes of ash falling on us when we were in the parking lot before the ride. The advantage: the ride was over in late afternoon, but we were able to get the feeling of evening colors from the viewpoints because of the darkness of the smoke cloud. |
