We have been hearing about this trail that is almost in the back yard so today we hiked it, linked to the Bearfoot at the bridge and took that to the house. What a gorgeous little trip! The switchbacks drop 1000 feet, have to figure the CCC built that trail, it's quite a piece of work. The Pine-Strawberry Fuels Reduction group is planning a big trail run using this trail, so we checked it out for maintenance issues. Some brushy spots and a few deadfalls but nothing fatal. It pays to go exploring.

We met a couple guys who were hiking up and carrying a small, older dog that they found near the bottom. She was in pretty rough shape, sure hope she makes it.
