| no partners | | I decided to head to the Lost Dog Wash TH on Shea Blvd in Scottsdale and do this hike again.
There was quite a wildflower display on the hike, particularly on the Andrews-Kinsey Trail. I'd say that the wildflowers are at their peak right now, although the creosote bushes and cactaceae haven't really started blooming yet.
There were more people than I expected at the TH, so if I go back out there in the next few days I think that I will start from Fountain Hills. I was walking along the Sunrise Trail and came upon an older woman squatted down and urinating in the middle of the trail...and of course there was the obligatory trail runner not wearing much more than a thong. I think that I need to start hiking in remote, wilderness areas in hopes of encountering more civility on a trail! |

Wildflowers Observation Substantial There was quite a wildflower display on this hike, particularly along the Andrews-Kinsey Trail. If there had been more poppies blooming I would have labelled this as "extreme" instead of "substantial". |
