| no partners | | I was looking for a coronavirus-free hike that would give me a decent workout so I headed up to to the Slate Creek TH and hiked up to Mount Ord again today.
There was about 4" of water running across the wash near the TH -- just enough for me to take off my non-waterproof shoes to cross it.
It was a cool, crisp day which is nice for a hike. It was in the upper 60's when I got back to the TH, so it was getting a bit warm.
When I got near the summit there were 2 people walking back down to their RAZR which they had parked at the locked gate. They were the only people that I encountered while hiking on the trail.
It was nice at the summit -- I almost fell asleep while sitting up there and enjoying the views of Roosevelt Lakes, Four Peaks, and the Sierra Anchas. |

Wildflowers Observation Isolated There was a decent variety of wildflowers on the hike, but they were few and far between. |
