Smoke from the Rolls or Salt Fire was all over Second Water and Black Mesa trails. Once I got to the Junction of Black Mesa and Dutchman the smoke was gone but still visible looking toward Marsh Valley. I was hoping to see the crazy diamondback I saw on Saturday but he wasn't out. There are always many cottontails out but today I saw a gila monster on trail. It did rain in the western Supes on Monday evening and that sometimes gets them out. I saw Loren (who lost his camera) and he told me he never located it. Loren told me some hiker was missing after leaving the horse lot recently to take pictures one evening but I couldn't find any reports to verify that. I finished up about 8 am and the temps were still okay.
