I wanted a change so I tried this loop. Only one other car at the trailhead at 5:00 am. I finished the hike at 7:39 am with no running just a determined pace. :lol: The trail is good, no critters out and saw only a few hikers on my way back up to the trailhead. This is the new 9 b4 8. (9 miles before 8:00 am). I looped clock wise and the sun didn't show until the high point on Black Mesa trail. Then there's still more shade until Dutchman and once you make the turn the sun is at your back. I'll be back.
