| no partners | | #23 of 50 hikes. Went to Mesquite, NV for my husband's birthday. Found a hike called Flat Top Mesa Trail and he hiked with me, even with his arm in a sling from shoulder surgery. Luckily a cool front passed through, so it was mid 70's for the hike. The route I found said to turn right at about the 2 mile mark, but it was a circular dead end. Took the next right about a quarter mile further and that was the right one. One the way back, we took a more direct route instead of by the cliffs. Had a nice little breeze to keep us cool, but still managed a sunburn. Beware of that brutal Mesquite sun! There are no water sources, so bring plenty of water! |
