From Escalante River, we had to trek back through Horse Canyon to where we exited Little Death Hollow and then continued in Horse Canyon toward Wolverine Canyon. It's another slot canyon but not as narrow. It still had some amazing views, rock formations, and sand stone to walk on. After walking through sand, dirt, rocks, and gravel the previous day, the smooth, hard sand stone was pleasant. We got another early start so once we exited the cool shade of Wolverine Canyon and into the hot desert, we were able to finish before noon. We parked one vehicle at the end so we didn't have to hike the extra 2.5 miles back to the start. Highly encourage that idea! An amazing three day trip that I'd recommend to anyone. But never in the summer months; you wouldn't be able to carry enough water and the sources are rare. |
