I've hiked this trail several times and decided to try the loop coming down the north side near Red Butte Garden. The dozen or so trails in the area aren't marked so it was very confusing. We just had to "guess" our way down. My husband and son joined me and it was a hot and tiring climb. The Living Room had some great views, so it's worth the hike. Rattlesnakes are common in the area, so we took our time on the trail making plenty of noise. While relaxing and taking photos at the Living Room, my son spotted a rattlesnake! I was shocked to see one there because of all the foot traffic. I'm thankful he saw it before a scary situation happened. |
