Daniela and I were looking for a quick stroll in the pines before heading back to the heat of the valley. We wanted to keep it simple so headed over to the pine trailhead which was on the way home. It rained the whole way from our campsite to just before reaching the trailhead, then just suddenly stopped!

We did a quick casual loop that we basically formed on the fly by going wherever the other hikers were not. The weather was beautiful so we took some nice breaks just chatting and enjoying the temps. We both had to get back to responsibly (ugh) so headed back to the trailhead. I don’t typically care for common/popular trailheads but this one was perfect for what we wanted that day. I’d definitely return for a weekday stroll sometime too!
