Well, the first Tuesday of the month means an additional 20% geezer discount at the Columbia Outlet Store in Anthem. Cathy and I decided to kill two birds and get in a hike while we were up in that area.
I used the HAZ hike finder and these two trails starting from the Black Canyon City Trailhead popped up.
Some photos posted by @FOTG made the decision easy. We also noticed that @rcorfman hikes these trails on a regular basis pertaining to his geocache locating.

We left the TH at a little after 10am and were quickly impressed with the trail conditions. Somebody's doing a very good job. The tread was in excellent shape on both trails. Less than 1 mile in the SloFolks passed a group of 4. Yeah, you read that right...we passed people. To be fair, they were probably tourists, and they probably had not ever hiked before, but hey, we don't know that for a fact.

Gotta take the win however you can. :-)

After the hike we went to the Columbia Store where Cathy found a new hiking shirt and a fleece vest for almost no money at all. She celebrated with some chocolates from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and I got to pick our lunch spot...In-N-Out Burger. Yum.
