We had planned on taking the Salida Gulch Trail in Prescott to the crossover John's Tank Trail and then cut over to Lynx Lake for a loop. The cross-over trail was closed due to the nesting Bald Eagle pair so we just continued on the Salida loop CCW. After we finished we drove over to the lake to hike the circumference trail #311. I'll write up a second triplog for that.
The weather couldn't have been better and Lynx Creek was flowing nicely but not high enough to cause any problems. We were able to rock-hop the many crossings and stay dry. This was my first trail hike without Mrs. SloFolks and I doubt I could have done it without my sister's help. Thanks Michele. |
