| partners | | Angela invited me to hike in Sedona a couple of weeks ago, so today I repaid the favor and took her up to Prescott for a couple of hikes to get out of the VOS. This was hike #1, Salida Gulch Trail #95. She had never hiked it and I thought it would be a good time of year for it. The weather was fine but where water usually runs the the entire eastern leg of the trek, today it was dry.
She seemed to like it, (so she said) and we both agreed that clockwise should be the preferred direction of travel. Great views to the north as you loop around John's Tank. We had planned to add the John's Tank Trail #94 over to Lynx Lake but the Forest Service website said it was closed due to nesting eagles. We saw no signage of any closure but still stayed on our loop and decided to drive over to Lynx Lake for hike #2 when we were done. |
