Needed something cool enough for the dog, without too much of a drive. Parked just past the junction with FR27 and walked up the main road. Started right at sunset, so zero sun, and a nice breeze. Storm clouds in all directions, but nothing immediately threatening us. Made good time up to the summit, while enjoying the lightning show. Easy walk back down. Saw several bats, some lizard type thing that sort of looked like a skink, and one rattler. 88 degrees to start, 83 at the finish. Nice evening.
