Summit sunrise. Started around 0115. Nice cool temps, no breeze. Lots of lightning far to the south. Michelle was not feeling great for the final 1.50 miles to the summit (her first hike at this elevation) so we took our time. Nice sunrise with the clouds. Slow hike down for Michelle. In order to shorten her misery, we left the trail with about two miles to go and followed a road and ski runs down for a more direct route. Must have rained yesterday, most of the trail was damp, and less loose dust to slip on. Wearing Salewas instead of the more comfortable Sauconys helped with traction too.

Tried out a new pack, Gregory Juno 24, very comfortable, and does not seem to put as much pressure on my lower back as my Osprey packs do. Easier access to the water bladder as well.
