Flowers are starting and the huckleberries on the lower half of the trail are just starting to ripen. We ate a few, but most will be ripe in a few weeks.
Nice break at the summit of Blacktail. Lots of flies buzzing around, but nothing bothering us. After we’d enjoyed the views, we headed back downhill. Seems rockier going downhill. Temps in the 60s for the entire hike, but seemed warmer. Nice day.
Road was in good shape for most any vehicle. Saw one dirtbiker, and nobody else. |
