Hiked a ways up the Spur Cross and then returned via the Metate. Fair amount of water in the creek and plenty of dogs their enjoying themselves. Lots of horseback riders out too. The Metate had lots of Dichelostemma capitatum. Wendi spotted what could only be described as a baby 3" king snake, still not sure though, I'll try to post a pic.
