The gecko contacted me wanting to do a hike up in my part of town along with johnlp. I'm guessing they were wondering what hiking @ 2 mph felt like.

Tibber completed our foursome. Needless to say I spent the majority of the hike persevering to keep up.

I chose a fun little double lasso loop in the Tonto National Forest north of Spur Cross. Water flow in Cave Creek was just high enough to keep the girls on their toes during the many water crossings. Despite the lack of recent rain the desert was very green and it appears there will be a springtime bloom very soon. Another storm should assure some poppies I think.

Everyone stopped by our home afterwards to visit with Mrs. SloFolks and to have some processed meats and cheeses followed by some delicious apple pie a la mode with caramel sauce. Hiking allows for these types of food choices...I think.

Thanks for the hike everyone, and especially for giving Cathy other faces to see other than mine and her doctor.

	Nice audible babble made wonderful background noise. Easily crossable using carefully chosen rocks.
