| no partners | | The lovely summer weather is nearly upon the valley. I opted for a quick/easy one on my neverending road to recovery. After weeks of PT, months of resting, I believe I see a light at the end of the tunnel.
I arrived right at sunrise and there were a few vehicles in the parking lot, kayakers and another fellow hiker. The temps were very pleasant and the shade most of the way around made for very nice conditions. The trail is in good shape and has been maintained recently. I came across a solo hiker and then a group going in.
Feeling the temps going up and figured I had gone far enough, I turned around where the trail splits along the back side. On the way back to the TH, there was steady stream of hikers. Lot of other people had the same idea to hit this one before it got too hot. The parking lots of packed and there were a bunch of kayakers and boarders out on the water and setting up along the beach area.
Cloudless skies made for not as dramatic views as I've had in the past, but this hike is highly scenic regardless of the conditions. It's popular for good reason. |
