Rarely venture out on a weekend during the renaissance festival , but with the forecast for rain tomorrow decided to try it. So did everyone else, first time having to park outside the pay kiosk at Butcher Jones and that lot was more than half full. Fishing, kayaking, hiking, dog walking, picnicking and other various and sundry activity was happening. Took both legs at the trails end, lakeshore and burro cove and a trip to the “beach” , being about the only solo hiker I formed a group with a couple of tall attractive young ladies to improve our or my odds of getting the right away :D as we encountered many other groups of varying size. It actually worked somewhat, anyway a nice breeze kept the temps tolerable despite the humidity. I think I’ll keep this weekend hiking to a minimum.
