| no partners | | Been wanting to hike up here for the last two years, mostly to find a geocache that was near the summit, and finally found the day to make the hike up. Started around 11am and followed easier clock-wise route up. I know of the harder route up, but I didn't want to do it alone. The easier route is a trail, occasionally marked with cairns, that follows around the lower area of the mountain, till it heads up a wash area to the summit. I bushwhacked around the summit to the eastern end where the geocache was. After finding it, I headed to the summit following and occasionally losing the trail to the top. Even with the cairns, the eastern trail, is a bit difficult to follow. Found a summit log at the highpoint and signed that. Also found the medicinal wheel as I started heading back down, which was cool. Headed back down to the truck. Enjoyable hike in all, just wished it was less humid. It was %50 which I'm really not used too. Saw one other person on the trail, they were heading down as I was heading up.
