Headed up King Canyon. Steady incline, but moderate. The trail is in good condition. Tons of flowers and varieties, which was a nice surprise. Windy at times, but it felt nice.
Took a short snack break at the summit of Wasson. Had to settle for pastrami today since I was all out of steak, but I survived. Headed down Hugh Norris Trail (the open part), then down Sendero Esperanza and Gould Mine. Again, lots of flowers. Saw a fair amount of hikers on all the trails. I like this loop, and would hike it more often if it was a slightly shorter drive. Good day, and always fun to hike with Kelly. |
