**El Coto de Buenamadre** (often referred to simply as **El Coto**) is a quintessential Asturian mountain hamlet located at the foot of the [PR-AS 11]. The village is nestled into a steep hillside. The area is characterized by ancient stone walls which were historically used to divide grazing land.
