From this height on the **PR-AS 11**, you can truly see the **"Vertical Life"** of Somiedo.
The village below is Canuedo. The village is famous locally for its *lavadero* (communal laundry fountain) and its proximity to the start of several high-mountain shepherd paths.
The road passing through it is the **AS-227**, which follows the ancient "Camino Real del Puerto de la Mesa," a route used since Roman times to cross from the plateau of Leon into the green valleys of Asturias.
