Did loop using part of the Circumference Tr and all of the Ridgeline Tr. The latter yet to be documented on HAZ. This is one of the best-maintained trail systems I've run into. Almost too well-maintained to have the feel of an outdoor experience. Well-marked trails, smooth and narrow paths, very few loose rocks and outcroppings. Might as well be walking a city street. Saw numerous hikers, bikers and joggers, not only using the suburban Deem Hills Rec Area, but the service road along the CAP that forms the park's northern border.

Came up to the Circumference TH from signboard at SE cor of parking lot, then traveled clockwise, first to the N. The trail meanders around two small peaks, the higher one on the northwest. The W side of the peaks is sere and unremarkable, but on the E it is almost another world. More vibrant plant life, more activity, better views, shaded in the afternoon heat. Stirred up numerous Mourning Doves near the trail on this segment. They make noise and can startle but nothing like quail taking off.

At 1.61 mi out, came across the Ridgeline Tr that starts up moderately to the northwest peak, then follows ridgeline for about 1/8 mi with good views. Did not see a trail to the summit which is about 30 feet above trail on the right. According to my GPS, the rise to the ridge line is 356' in .83 mi and is made easy by several long switchbacks. This segment of the Ridgeline down to a saddle runs only about a half mile. From there it is a short walk to connect again with the Circumference and back down to the parking lot.

This is not a trail I'd do again anytime soon. Too suburban. It strikes as a trail system built mainly for the many residents of this spick and span area to get exercise. Every subdivision, it seems, must have its own set of trails these days to be attractive.
