| no partners | | After the rough drive up FR 49 and the Pinyon Mountain hike I decided to wrap up my day with a couple easy climbs, and this one certainly fit the bill... after driving back 3 miles along FR 49. At least is was an easy part that I had already driven on.
This hike was nothing more than hiking up a reasonably easy slope, paying attention to avoiding the thousands of prickly-pear plants and more of the loose rock in tall grass. The wide flat top made for easy travel to the summit, although choosing what actually was the summit was a matter for discussion. I settled for a very small cairn once I found the summit log hidden inside. All the entries in the log are familiar names in the peak bagging community.
I took the usual photos and video and made the quick descent back to the Cherokee, preparing for the last ascent of the day, Deer Hill, less than a mile east.
