| no partners | | My first hike with Larry since his hiking accident in March. We had talked about exploring Peak 3915 before and decided this would be a good hike since we had gone up to 5057 via the Balancing Rock route before.
The climb up to Balancing Rock is steep and loose and took its toll on Larry's still recovering ankle. We made our way through the area above it and over to where the trail heads up to the peak. It is off-trail from here to 3915. The steep, loose decent that skirts the cliffs took another toll! We got close but decided we should just take a lunch break and enjoy the view of 3915 and its weirdness and then head down.
Back at the car Larry showed me his ankle now swollen to twice the normal size! I'm not sure how he made it! But since we got done early we headed to Az Wilderness because he said good beer would make it feel better!! |
