Another great day to get out! Got to say hi to JJ and Johnlp as they passed me on the way up to the basin. It was good to see them again but like a flash they were gone!

Once I was above the basin, instead of going up the Flatiron trail, I took the trail that heads west back to the lower cliffs. From there I climbed 3/4 of the way up to the base of Flatiron on the ridge between Siphon and Spirit Canyon. A pretty cool area I hadn't been to since Mike and I came up thru Spirit Canyon and down Siphon Draw. Poked around up there and thought about blazing some new paths but decided to take it easy and head back the way I came. Back at the top of the basin I ran into a group of three guys on their way down from the top. The oldest in the group was 83!! They were having a blast! I caught them near the bottom and we bs'd back to the Mining Camp lot! Friendly crew, fun day!!
