Sadly, my first trip here in the 8 years I have lived in AZ. Much more to explore. I was sweat soaked upon reaching the top of Colonel Devin, a bit steeper than expected. Had to be home earlier than usual so I didn't quite make it to Pinchot Cabin, nor did I have enough time to check out Fred Haught cabin. Lots of water along FH. What gives it that blue tint? Lots of cool little springs leading up to the rim. Had a flat tire upon leaving Wash park, but made it to Payson before completely flat.
Note: all 6 tire shops in Payson close at 4PM on Saturdays. On went the donut...
