| no partners | | | Finally! Started this passage after visiting Trail Days Sept. 12th. That afternoon I hiked from 791 to Sandy Seep. The next day I hiked from Sandy Seep to Schultz Pass, hoping to hitch a ride into town and then go finish the 3 1/2 miles south of 791. There were lots of cars at Schultz, but no one was around and I didn't want to wait, so I hiked back to Sandy Seep. Since I was going to see Unbranded at the Orpheum, I skipped finishing up this passage. So, today I left the Pine trail building event to the younger and stronger and went up to finish the 3 1/2 miles. Rained - but it's DONE! The Sept weekend there were quite a few wildflowers out. Lots of yellows all along the trail. As I got closer to Schultz Pass there were still some lupine and I saw more Indian Paint Brush. Today, not so much. Still bushes of yellow flowers but only 2 small Indian Paint Brush and not much else. Did see 2 people harvesting pinon nuts. |
