Took off from the cold and windy Tiger Mine TH at about 8:30 Sat. NOAA had reported that the day would be mostly sunny, breezy and the night would be mostly cloudy. Thankful they were wrong! It was cloudy and got cloudier as the day went on but very still. After about 4 miles I was passed by about 20 mountain bikers. Great group. All said HI and a few stopped to visit. Not much to see for the first 8+ miles but Corner Tank does have water. Didn't need any yet, so don't know about the quality, but it's there. Also didn't stop at Mountain View tank. Just as I was finishing the climb before Camp Grant Wash 3 of the bikers who were the support team came back by and stopped to tell me that 2 of them had split tires on the same rock. Put them back together with super glue and were hoping that it would hold until they got back to their vehicle. Set up camp at 4 just above Camp Grant wash. 2 more from the biking group came by but they said that they were pushing on to Freeman Rd with headlamps. Hope the trail was good to them! The clouds all went away and it was a beautiful full moon night!! Slept like a rock and thought in the morning that nothing had come by on the trail. Boy was I wrong. Several cattle had passed in the night - evidence was that their feet had completely wiped out all of the bike tracks that I'd been following on Saturday. To their credit - no "exhaust" was left behind - only footprints so thanks to the cows for keeping our trail clean. Headed out Sunday am around 8. Didn't stop at Cowhead tank since I still had enough water to push on to Beehive. Beehive is full and I filtered good water there. While snacking and filtering, a hunter stopped by on his quad and gave me a liter of water. What a time saver as I had planned on filtering 2 bags worth. Headed out after a nice break. Saw 1 fox that I startled from under a tree where he was resting. Arrived at Freemand Rd. TH at 2. Surprised and grateful to have cell service almost the entire way as I could keep my kids / shuttle driver up to date. Still early for flowers but 1 globe mallow, 1 dandelion, and a couple blooms on a brittle brush. But a lot of song birds! Must be the migration because in addition to our native birds, I was serenaded all Saturday with song. Sunday was clear and sunny but cold and windy, so I didn't hear the birds if they were singing.

Good tasting. The ladder is gone but if you go around under the brush you'll see where someone had put a timber and a rock so it's easy to reach in and get water.
