It was my moms birthday weekend so I made the excuse to take four days off from work to head up to my hometown of Flagstaff for celebration and of course plenty of hiking! :y:

I asked my mom and sister if they we up for a hike since the last time all three of us have hiked together was when I was probably 10 years old and we used to hike Fatmans loop and Elden Lookout Trail. So with that being said this was rather a special experience to take them on this hike!

Red Mountain was an absolute gem and truly needs to be viewed in person to be appreciated! Only downside would be it's a rather touristy location which is not typically my thing but hey this is a mom friendly hike. : app :

I'll be back for sunrise and sunset here one day because depending on the type of day you could get some out of this world photos due to the way light bounces around the amphitheater walls!
