| partners | | After over a month away from hiking, I got back into the swing of things with a nice hike up Lone Mountain off Usery Pass. I cannot believe I have never hiked this cool little mountain. I have looked at it many times when I have been on Pass Mountain Loop. I was pleasantly surprised. A nice elevation gain and some great views.
We were hoping for a nice sunrise, but the skies were clear. Another trip up here with some clouds is in order.
The trail starts off the Bulldog Canyon access/Lone Mountain T/H and follows the road for a short time. The path is well worn and easy to follow. Nothing crazy to navigate or climb. It’s an out and back, but there are several other trails leading to parts unknown along the way. This would be a good place to explore.
This was a good start for me after having so many things preventing me from hiking the past months.
