| no partners | | | Parked at the horse lot off Usery Pass road, up to Lone Mountain E J peak , back down and diagonal on the ATV tracks to Maricopa Trail ,up to and across Pass Mountain trail to peak 2525 aka the start or finish of the Pass Mountain ridgeline, then back down to the lot on the Maricopa Trail. Where have all the flowers gone? Sounds like a song lyric. In the past have seen a ton of flowers along here, hope it’s better in a couple of weeks as only a few small patches of poppies and lupine. Right now more abundant in the median of SR 60 . Had EJ peak to myself and with very few bees present today so I loitered for about half hour studying landmarks, bringing binoculars today was a good idea. Could pick out the Salt River,Verde River, Saguaro Lake, Four Peaks, Weavers Needle, McDowell Mountain, Camelback Mountain, Thompson Peak among others. Finished this hike off today before it became too warm . |
